TEACHING LOCATION OF THE DEGREE PROGRAM

Those with a five-year high school diploma or other qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable may be admitted to the Bachelor of Environment and Workplace Prevention Techniques.

Admission to the Bachelor's degree program has a restricted access and involves an entrance exam consisting of a nationally-scheduled multiple-choice test.

The Bachelor's Degree in Environment and Workplace Prevention Techniques is professionalizing, which means that the final exam also provides professional certification.

The goal is to adequately prepare for entry into the world of work.
Particular attention is given to evidence-based prevention, providing each student with theoretical and practical tools that lead to professional autonomy and the capacity for autonomous and continuous scientific updating, especially during the internship.

The objective of the Course is to train figures capable of :

- monitor living and working environments, food and beverage quality and veterinary hygiene and health and formulate opinions within the scope of their competencies;
- carry out verification activities, point out detected irregularities and propose corrective actions;
- cooperate with the judicial administration in investigations of crimes against environmental heritage, hygiene and safety conditions in living and working places and food;
- participate in study, teaching and research activities;
- carry out professional consulting activities, contribute to the training of personnel and directly contribute to updating related to the professional profile.

The internship experiences are aimed at carrying out supervisory activities in the areas of environmental protection, food hygiene and safety in living and working places, prevention of accidents and occupational diseases, and training of personnel working in the above areas.

Graduates carry out professional activity in public facilities, as employees of the National Health Service, in the Prevention and Supervision Services provided for by the regulation in force, and in private facilities, as employees or freelance, in the Prevention and Protection, Food and Environmental Quality and Safety, consulting, assistance and training services in food, environmental and labor hygiene and safety.

Those who work in the public services with inspection and supervisory duties are Judicial Police Officers and carry out control activities in the areas of competence, as well as preliminary activities aimed at issuing authorizations, clearances and technical-health opinions for activities subject to verification.
