An internship is a temporary learning and professional development experience that helps students build both practical and professional skills.
Within the Degree Program in Sustainable Agricultural Systems, the curricular internship offers the chance to:
- Strengthen the knowledge gained throughout the courses;
- Develop specialized skills;
- Develop practical workplace skills;
- Explore different production environments;
- Connect with institutions and companies;
- Build relationships with local businesses and stakeholders.
There are different types of internships:
- Curricular internship with academic credits (CFU)
- Curricular internship with additional academic credits (extra CFU)
- Curricular internship without academic credits
Internships can be completed either on campus (internal internships) or off campus at institutions or companies in Italy or abroad (external internships).
Before starting an internship, students need to have completed the general health and safety training course, offered by the University or a recognized external provider.
For detailed instructions on how to arrange an internship, please refer to the section “SAS Internship Guidelines.”
