Midwifery
The degree course aims to provide the essential knowledge and skills to practise the health profession of midwifery.
The midwifery profession aims at assisting and advising women during pregnancy, during childbirth and in the puerperium, at conducting and carrying out eutocical deliveries on their own responsibility, as well as promoting and protecting the health of newborns.
A fundamental part is the research and application of care models aimed at promoting respect for the physiology of the birth process and support for the parental role.
