The PhD Programme aims to train professionals capable of independently developing innovative research paths in legal sciences, both in private and public law. The skills acquired can be applied not only in traditional research paths (at universities or other study and research institutions), but also in a variety of professional contexts.

With regard to opportunities within the civil service, the PhD Programme provides the preparation for positions requiring advanced skills in analyzing decision-making processes and developing technical and legal responses. The process of renewing the civil service requires the contribution of lawmakers capable of imagining original solutions to increasingly complex issues. The multidisciplinary nature of the PhD Programme aims precisely to enhance PhD students' ability to approach cross-cutting issues without rigid schematisms.

Regarding potential positions within the private sector (profit and non-profit), upon completion of the training program, PhD graduates will be able to compete for roles requiring the specialized skills and insights essential for designing and overseeing organizational models aimed at providing an adequate legal framework for technological innovations and the development of production and work systems,
and the need for innovation to be conducted while considering the risks it may pose to individuals and the environment.
