The Bachelor's Degree Programme in Business Administration is addressed to those students who aim at entering, under a professional point of view, in public and private organizations and in the consultancy field. It develops people’s competences in the understanding of the operating mechanisms of all types of companies and at all levels, in a multidisciplinary and international context.
The Programme provides a sound basic education in corporate economics, focused on knowledge of business administration, management and organisation, also including political economy, law and quantitative methods. In this way the students will develop a wide understanding both in organizational areas (accounting, finance, marketing, manufacturing and logistics and human resource management) and in different businesses’ sizes that operate in various economic sectors (industry, commercial, services and public administration)
To get the above-mentioned objectives, the programme is divided in a two-year period where students acquire sound and basic knowledge and competences, followed by a third year that is differentiated into five curricula, aimed at developing specific knowledge and competences that are related to the professional contents of the curricula.
The Administration and Auditing curriculum offers employment perspectives as Accountant Expert, as consultant (namely for SMEs and other organizations that are undergoing severe change processes over the last years) and also within different kinds of companies, public or private, profit and no-profit (specifically in the areas of administration and finance and control as support to top management teams).
The Business Management curriculum offers employment opportunities within different kinds of companies (both private and public), into fundamental functional areas (marketing, finance, manufacturing and logics and human resource management) and in autonomous and cross-functional roles supporting the top management team.
The Tourism Management curriculum presents specific employment perspectives in management of tourist companies, mainly SMEs, with modern approaches that support dimensional growth and sustainability.
In order to favour the job market entry, students of the Business Administration Programme are mandatorily required to take an internship at companies, professional firms or other private or public institutions, in Italy or abroad, in order to apply on the field the knowledge gained during their studies, under coordination from both university and company tutors.

Specific learning outcomes of the degree programme and description of the curriculum
The degree programme in Economics and Business Management has the following specific learning outcomes:
- to provide a solid foundation in economic, mathematical-statistical and legal disciplines, enabling students to critically understand the economic principles underpinning the context and operation of private and public enterprises;
- to characterise the programme with a broad grounding in business disciplines in order to ensure a full understanding of the principles underpinning business management as applied to organisations of various sizes and across different sectors (industrial, commercial, tourism, services, public administration, etc.);
- to enable students to acquire a broad knowledge of business disciplines organised by functional areas (administration and control, finance, marketing, organisation, production and logistics);
- to develop a multidisciplinary grounding that fosters the growth of analytical skills regarding macro-environmental and business phenomena, as well as decision-making and management skills in complex economic and social contexts;
- to provide students with the linguistic skills essential for communication in the business world;
- to develop knowledge aimed at mastering the IT tools commonly used in business contexts.
The modules in the first three terms aim to provide students with a set of concepts, principles and methodologies covering the fields of business, economics, quantitative analysis, law and the English language.
In the following three terms, students first undertake a number of modules that explore the topics of corporate governance in greater depth, including from the perspectives of accounting, economic and financial control, and commercial law.
Finally, in the last two four-month terms, students can tailor their study plan to their individual objectives by choosing one of the available specialisations and optional modules.
The specialisations on offer are designed to develop specific knowledge and skills that will enable graduates to carry out executive, organisational and control tasks in one of the following broad areas:
- administration and accounting, aimed at developing skills for working in the fields of administration, management control and finance;
- business management, aimed at developing skills for working in the fields of marketing, sales, distribution, procurement, production and logistics;
- tourism, focused on understanding the tourism market and managing businesses operating within it – particularly small and medium-sized enterprises – using modern management approaches to support growth and economic sustainability.
The programme also includes: the acquisition of IT skills; and the opportunity to undertake a work placement (internship) with public and private, national and international companies and organisations.
The work placement is not compulsory, in order to ensure a certain degree of flexibility in the programme; however, it constitutes a significant professional development opportunity that students may take up as an alternative to a portion of the credits allocated to optional modules; a final written examination designed to explore one of the topics covered during the degree programme in greater depth, including in relation to the work placement experience.
