Rights, Person, Innovation and Market

The PhD intends to support research projects aimed at combining attention to cultural, technological and methodological innovation, with which the legal sciences have been called to confront in recent years, with a view that places the rights of the person in the foreground and the person as the main referent of law. The growing complexity of phenomena, which the jurist must contribute to governing, makes it more necessary than ever a clear identification of solid value foundations, and the reference to the person as a key reading of modernity identifies a precious anchor of research paths.

Educational goals

The PhD Programme aims to provide the content and methodological academic and research tools necessary to address the challenging issues that, in various fields of legal science, the rapidly evolving economic processes and social dynamics present to lawmakers. Both in carrying out research projects and developing the academic training proposal, the PhD Programme places particular emphasis on the international regulatory context and on insights from comparative analysis.

The PhD Programme's objective is therefore to train lawmakers capable of innovatively addressing the problems posed by modernity and of devising solutions that, drawing on knowledge of traditional approaches, attempt to overcome their limitations and propose original solutions, both in the private and public spheres. In particular, the significant period of reforms currently underway in the civil service requires the contribution of jurists who can help free up the vast human and material resources available to our administration from the process and procedural obstacles that have thus far impeded its full development. The PhD Programme aims to contribute to the development of jurists and lawmakers capable of understanding their role in this crucial phase for the country's development in a proactive manner.
