Upon completion of their studies, PhD graduates in "Analytics for Economics and Management, (AEM)" will have the skills to analyse data and to develop optimisation models to address a variety of problems across numerous fields, including the environment, energy, economics, finance, logistics, and sport. They will also be capable of implementing computational methods to solve these models. These competencies may be applied both in research-oriented careers and in professional roles within companies and other organisations.
Specifically, the qualification attained through this doctoral programme makes graduates enable to undertake academic positions in Italian and foreign universities, as well as specialised roles within public and private research institutions. Furthermore, they are suited for senior managerial positions in companies—whether public or private, national or international—across the service and industrial sectors, where the modelling of complex phenomena and the proficiency in analytical and computational tools are essential to support decision-making processes.
