Through a multidisciplinary approach the Programme aims to enhance the acquisition of the essential tools to develop an interdisciplinary and transversal perspective.
This is evidenced not only by the overall name of the academic and tuition modules ("Cross-cutting Courses") and the topics covered, but also by the underlying theme of the PhD Programme, which revolves around the intersectoral and multidimensional nature of the concept of sustainability and the associated social responsibility, according to the Sustainable Development Goals.
At the completion of the academic and training Programme, based on the combined use of economic and legal categories, as well as the respective analysis and evaluation methodologies (qualitative and quantitative), PhD students will have developed an independent capacity to understand, interpreter and elaborate critically a systemic in-depth analysis of the organizational and and managerial realities in which companies (including those belonging of the third sector) and public bodies operate and identify the most suitable tools to promote the values underlying sustainability, from an economic, environmental and social perspective.
