Quality and Statistics

QUALITY ASSURANCE OF THE PhD PROGRAMME

Starting from 2023, the Ministry of University and Research, through the National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research System (ANVUR) and the definition of quality standards known as AVA3 (Self-evaluation - Periodic Evaluation – Accreditation – version 3), has extended the application of the quality model—already in use since 2013 for Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes—to PhD Programme as well.

QUALITY INDICATORS OF THE PhD PROGRAMME

The indicators used to assess the quality of the PhD Programme are determined based on three types of data collection:

  1. PhD Students' Opinion Survey (hereafter ROD).
    The results of the ROD are available at the following link:
    PhD Students' Opinion Survey - SISValDidat;

  2. The employment survey of PhD graduates, conducted by  ALMALAUREA, available at the following link:
    Employment status of PhD graduates - AlmaLaurea;

  3. The satisfaction survey of PhD graduates, conducted by  ALMALAUREA, whose results are available at the following link:
    Satisfaction of PhD graduates - AlmaLaurea.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF THE PhD PROGRAMME

The principle of continuous improvement is the foundation of every quality assurance system. In this perspective, PhD students and PhD graduates have the opportunity to submit suggestions to improve the quality of the PhD Programme using the following link: Feedback Form for Improving Quality

STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVED IN QUALITY ASSURANCE ACTIONS FOR THE PhD

For PhD Programmes, several bodies collaborate in various roles to improve the quality of the study Programme.

The Departmental Quality Committee (PQD), composed of faculty members and supported by technical-administrative staff, oversees and assists in the proper functioning of the Evaluation and Quality Assurance System regulated by ANVUR within the department and collaborates with the University Quality Assurance Committee.
Each PhD Programme has a Quality Representative, whose activities are coordinated by the PQD for Teaching.

The University Quality Assurance Committee (PQA), an Auxiliary Body of the University, operates in accordance with the ANVUR AVA system and consists of faculty members, technical-administrative staff, and a student representative. It supervises and supports the implementation of Quality Assurance Procedures at the university level for study Programmes, PhD Programmes, and departments, following the guidelines set by the Governing Bodies.
