The Degree Programme in Physiotherapy prepares healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and support individuals with movement disorders, functional limitations, and disabilities across all stages of life.

Students develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to plan and deliver evidence-based rehabilitation programmes, promote recovery and independence, support health and wellbeing, and work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Particular emphasis is placed on patient-centred care, therapeutic communication, professional responsibility, and lifelong learning.

The programme combines scientific, clinical, and practical training. During the first year, students build a foundation in human anatomy, physiology, movement science, research methods, and communication skills. The second year focuses on the core areas of physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal, neurological, sports, oncological, and geriatric rehabilitation. In the third year, students explore specialised fields such as paediatric, respiratory, and cardiovascular rehabilitation, while further developing professional, organisational, and management skills.

Clinical placements are a key component of the programme, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real healthcare settings under professional supervision. Teaching is complemented by elective activities, specialist seminars, and training in scientific research and English for healthcare practice and literature review.

The programme awards 180 ECTS credits, including 60 credits of supervised clinical placement, and prepares graduates for autonomous professional practice in a wide range of healthcare and rehabilitation settings.
