Internships - Medicine and Surgery

Professional training activities are those training activities which, during the clinical teaching phases (or after their completion), provide specific professional skills in internal medicine, general surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and medical and surgical specialties. To this end, professional training activities shall be carried out in the health care institutions designated by the Course Council and during the periods determined by it.

Distance learning will be activated for those who have to carry out the compulsory scheduled internship at an external location with a travel time of more than 1 hour.

The locations involved are:

ASST Bergamo Est - ASST Bergamo Ovest - ASST Crema - ASST Cremona - ASST Mantova - ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII - ASST Valcamonica

HOW TO ACCESS THE TEACHING TEAMS

  • Before the start of the lesson choose the Team corresponding to the teaching and the AL or MZ partition, in case of teachings without partition only one TEAM will be indicated. Teams are available on the page Course Catalogue (see Guide Lines published below)

Free-choice internships are traineeships that can be carried out in a discipline already provided for in the study plan as an in-depth study.

The Practical-Valuative Internship is defined by Decree No. 58 of the Minister of Education, University and Research of 9 May 2018.

The TPVES has a total duration of three months and is divided into three areas of 5 CFU each:

  • Medical Area
  • Surgical Area
  • General Medicine Area

The acquisition of the CFU relating to the Professional Internship is mandatory and it is the student's responsibility to acquire the daily signature of the tutor assigned to him. The certificate of attendance is obtained by participating in at least 2/3 of the hours required for each CFU. The student who, due to illness or an event of force majeure, cannot attend an already scheduled internship activity is required to promptly notify the Operational Unit and notify the Educational Services via ticket. In case of absence to take an exam, the absence will be justified by presenting the appropriate form and possibly made up in agreement with the Tutor.

In order to carry out internship activities it is necessary to have the following documentation:

Certificate of the 4-hour General Course on Safety at Work: the course takes place by connecting directly to the GENERAL TRAINING link with your University credentials

Certificate of the 12-hour High Risk Security Course: it is possible to request registration by opening a ticket (Category: Student Career and graduation -> Study Plan)
